Annual Back 40 Show featuring Tributes to the ‘70s
New venue, new musicians, the same great Back 40 Show.
The Back 40 Folk Festival’s annual spring fundraiser, the Back 40 Show, is harkening back to the psychedelic ‘70s to pay tribute to The Eagles, Neil Young, Bowie, Loretta Lynne, and more.
Local bands will be gracing the Kenmor Theatre stage in full ‘70s garb – from bell bottoms to headbands – in honour of
some of the decades’ most influential artists. Local Morden and Winkler bands will be filling the Kenmor Theatre with the sounds of the 1970’s all in the name of supporting homemade, homegrown Manitoba music.
The Bare Yogis tributes The Eagles
Hot Rod Deville tributes The Ventures
The Psychics tributes David Bowie
August Jack tributes Neil Young
Lindsay Rae tributes Loretta Lynne
Steve Keys tributes Jonathan Richman
Proceeds from the evening help the Back 40 Folk Festival further its vision of elevating homemade music in Southern Manitoba. Besides
festival sponsorships, the Back 40 Show is the festival’s only fundraising event.
